If, like me, you'd never gotten around to asking the googles what the heck Ometochtli was, the awesome Ursula Vernon is here to help: There is an Aztec goddess called Mayahuel who is the goddess of agave. (The usual mythological thing where somebody dies and is buried and comes up as a plant. You get that a lot. It’s one of the acceptable ways to die if you’re a god.)
Mayahuel has four hundred breasts, lactates pulque (the fermented drink made from agave nectar) and has four hundred drunken rabbit children, the Centzon Totochin, each of whom is responsible for a different kind of drunkenness. (Ometochtli–”Two-Rabbit”–is the chief of the Centzon Totochin.)
So, queen of the drunken bunnies. That's our wabbit. |

Hmm. I wonder what the window of infection is at the death of a gamma. Hopefully not too long or Frost is doomed. Although since she's careful about contamination, that makes me wonder what the vector is. Contact? Fluid? Airborne?
I think you have to be present for the event (death) itself, no? Transmission might be electromagnetic, for all we know. Could be. Ooh, electromagnetic is a good one. And electromagnetic would allow for a very short window. But any of the traditional disease vectors would stretch things out a bit even if the transition from alive to dead (I'm not convinced there's always a clear line) is the trigger. Assuming it's not magic (*shoos away Clarke*) which would be annoying at this point. |

Has anybody started analyzing past episodes for who was present at the deaths we know about? Add the info to the wiki if so!

Since Emma so rudely popped my denial bubble about there being only five more episodes planned, I started wondering what loose ends y'all are hoping to see tied up or at least tugged on before the orgy in the crater.
I'm hoping we get at least one episode set at Reyes's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Nice! Now I'm going to be waiting for the completion of the resistor exchange for the rest of the day ;-)
I think I have a portion of that same passage of the same vintage somewhere.
I actually got a new mic for Christmas. Thinking of playing with some voice work. You can probably guess what my practice pieces are going to be. I'll share too if anything comes out half as well as yours. I'm thinking some of the extras as the full episodes are kind of daunting.

Hey Will, do you have a global table of contents for the extant ebooks? I was just thinking that a good addition to the reading order page would be a column showing which books contain which bits. Before I go digging through the individual books for their contents I thought I'd ask.

There is a thread somewhere here on the forum where some Deltas were trying to get organized to record an episode or six, but I don't think anything ever came of it. *searches* Yeah, it's over here. No activity since 2009. I think it collapsed under its ambition (full-cast audio), but I'd love to hear different. I think single reader episodes or extras would be most excellent. |
