All I can think of is that any network other than WTF Network would have stopped at the end of part 2 as an end-of-season cliffhanger, and not revealed what happened in part 3 till the start of season 4.

So at least you didn't do that.

My point is actually that, so far we have met (that we know for sure) only 1 second generation anomaly, and that one is a Beta,  But you can't draw a line from one point.

We do know one other Beta, but we can't know if she is second generation or not because she is an orphan (darn the "powers that be" only two known Betas and both are orphans. What were the odds?)

I do think that we can say that with their tendancies toward violence Gammas do not make good parents, and if they had any children, then the children are likely to become orphans one way or another (if the children survive).  I do notice that few of the Gammas we have seen had any children (and possibly none had surviving children, other than Chaz). I wonder if it is biologically possible to create a child after "becoming" a Gamma.

If second generation anomalies do become Betas, then the orphan population is where to look for them.

I also have a feeling we may get the answers to some of these questions in episode 2x06, "Cuckoo"

What if Betas are all children of Gammas?

1. Both of our Betas are orphans
2. Chaz is a second generation anomaly
3. We don’t know Haf’s biological parents, so we can’t know if she is a second generation anomaly or not.

This leads to the questions:
With the investigative resources at their disposal has either Haf or Reyes found out who Haf’s biological parents are?

Once Reyes discovered Chaz’s parentage did he started investigating the known children of Gammas? (I believe the Vietnam Vet. had an estranged daughter for example)
