I wanted to cry at Brady's memory. Poor Brady.
Also, not the best episode to read right before bed when you have an overactive imagination (and are having typing issues because you're up past your bedtime... i feel old).

*grabby hands* WANT! *kitchen gadget lust*
My mom's got a Kitchen Aid mixer, and I love it so. They make pizza dough so much easier!
(hey, look, we're already back to food!)

Scary truth: "Rasputin" was not created by Boiled in Lead, for all that their cover is definitive. It was, I kid you not, a disco song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvDMlk3kSYgWhat's scariest is, um, the original's, um, amazing. BiL just made it more so. Wow! I didn't know that there was a cover. I've only ever heard Boney M's version. It's played at every social* I've ever been to. I didn't know there was a video for it which I'll have to watch when I get home. (Stupid no sound card at work) People bounce around and pretend they're dancing. Great fun! I'll have to check out this cover, too. * Social = Fundraising party with cheap booze and prizes to be won, usually held in advance of a wedding, put on by the wedding party. SO FUN.

But, one last submission so I can get it out of my brain: "Amateur Deathmetal Wannabes"
That sounds like an indie garage band to me.

AHAHAHA I love it. Why am I imagining flames painted down the side of the Vespa? It could just be that I'm slightly twisted.

Was that as dreadful as it sounds? I saw Reeves in Brannagh's "Much Ado" and wondered if they'd carved him out of wood, or mistaken the guy who was there to help out with the sound check.
That was years ago, and I was almost ready to forgive him. Then I saw "Constantine". Ok, not his fault, but still.
It was ... amusing, in a car-crash sort of way. When he first walked on stage, all the teenaged girls (okay the place was FULL of them) started to scream. The scene where he kills Polonius, who's hiding behind the curtains in Gertrude's quarters, the scenery was dropped from the rafters and secured to the floor to create some arches etc. Anyway Keanu goes to stab Polonius throught he curtain and that section starts to shake. Giggles in the audience, because that was obviously not supposed to happen. Then the actors start giggling, because the actress who was playing Gertrude burried her face in the blankets on the bed. Keanu just kind of stood there, trying not to laugh. Polonius stayed hidden behind the curtain. He did the WOE! Things pretty well, and I was sort of surprised, being as these were dress rehersals, that he made it through the soliloquies fairly smoothly. The reviews for him were pretty good, from what I remember. I think this was in 1995, when he was here.

So, Hi!
I found the SU via John Scalzi, I think. (What? I haven't been properly caffinated yet. Lunch soon!) I'm from the Canadian delegation, and live almost smack dab in the geographic centre of the continent.
I'm totally digging it and eagerly await new episodes, and am totally crushing on Chaz. (Who isn't?)
How goes?
(Popcorn thought: I love my hot air popper. When I'm feeling particularly decadent, I melt some CheezWhiz and some margarine (or butter) together and pour the resulting sauce over the popcorn and OMG Messy Good. Totally horrible for you, I'm sure, but super tasty.)

Sort of like what happened when I watched a production of "Hamlet" in college that had Patrick Stewart as Claudius (with hair, no less) and Lalla Ward (Romana from "Doctor Who") as Ophelia.
Off topic (sort of): Keanu Reeves as Hamlet. I got to catch a dress rehearsal with the english class a year ahead of me in high school. It was weird hearing him say the line "My most excellent friends!" to Rosencrantz and Gildenstern without immediately thinking of Bill & Ted.

I'm pretty right hand dominant. My brother and my ex-boyfriend are both lefties. I remember sitting at the exes' computer where he's got the mouse on the left side and trying to surf with the opposite hand. It was weird.
When I play hockey, though, I shoot left. And I bat left, and I golf left, too. When I drive, my left hand is always on the wheel (though I do drive a standard transmission car, so the right is usually shifting gears).
