I guess I'm a big voyeur... I wanted the pictures to be much higher resolution! Loved the scene in The Hobbit - Attercop! Ooh, practically every continent, too! Neat. Well, OK, not in person. But that they exist at all.

Hmm. I wonder what the window of infection is at the death of a gamma. Hopefully not too long or Frost is doomed. Although since she's careful about contamination, that makes me wonder what the vector is. Contact? Fluid? Airborne?
I think you have to be present for the event (death) itself, no? Transmission might be electromagnetic, for all we know.

Don't forget the epigenetic element as well. Chaz has a gamme-resisting gene because of his mother's trauma.
Hmm.. now I'm wondering if societies make possible so much horribleness for women as a defense mechanism, as less traumatic societies would have a higher gamma incidence.
[shudder]
oh. crap. OK, that was brilliant and I am totally creeped out now.

[Am writing reactions here as I read the ep, without reading the rest of the thread first. Whee!]
"Really small fangs," Hafidha offered.
"Not for a spider."
[R [Reader had gigglefit]
"Go on, New Fish,"
[Reader cackled loudly at poor Arthur's situation]
Lau sighed. "Okay, HIPAA violation much?"
["HIPAA violation! Drink!" Wait, whose line was that?]
"Oh, look, here we are. At the place we're going."
[Reader dissolves in giggles again. Also, reader is really starting to like Arthur Tan.]
[Reader can imagine that strip bar. Hoyeah. "Lucked out at a paint sale" is right.]
[Awwww on Tan copying Brady. Because yeah.]
[Oh, reader LIKES Lau joking with Brobich.]
[OMG the breakfast room. It's the Fourth Street hotel!]
[Contagion theory. Ohcrapohcrapohcrap.]
[Reyes! We get more Reyes! Yay! I mean, uh-oh.]
It might not be his Grail, but it would be fair to call it his Spear of Destiny.
[I am so glad I was not drinking tea when I read that.]
"If you're trying out sound bites and chapter titles, could you please not do it out loud?"
[*snort*]
[Oh, I like the friendship between Beale and Reyes. And awwww on Reyes as a father.]
"In the FBI, we're all special--" Tan began, then finished, "I can't believe I said that."
[Reader gets the giggles again in a big way.]
it's like being on Bones.
[Oh, I like Stevie.]
"That's okay," said Baumgartner. "I'd rather have silence than bullshit."
[And I really like Baumgartner.]
[Whoah. OK. That was good.]

Haaaaaggis, haaaaaaaaaaggis,
Campbells come and I wanna go home.
You rang? A Campbell! Cool! But I don't wanna go home. I wanna stay here and make popcorn (or whatever) and watch the next episode with you.

Yeah.. They really need a faster upgrade cycle for the refs. Cyborg tech is a fast-moving field.
I really think the interaction between the holographic ads and the refs' omnivision is a big part of the problem. They may be able to see "every thing from every direction," but what if some of the things they're seeing are not actually present on the rink? Also, I find the dancing crescent wrenches distracting. Sure, they're cute, but if they keep you from watching the game, that's not good. It's almost enough to get me not to shop at whatever that hardware place is.

What's more disturbing? The guy who came up with the "gamma rabbit" concept in the first place - and the person being counteracted by the "counteract a bigot" drive - is named Theodore Beale. I dearly hope there is no relation between that Beale and our Beale. I'm hoping not too. I once had to read and critique an entire manuscript from that Beale. (Well, OK, it was a collaboration, but sheesh.)
